CHEST STRETCH - CORNER LEAN

Stretch the chest and anterior shoulder muscles through corner wall positioning.

How to Perform

  1. Stand in the corner of the pool with hands at shoulder level on the pool wall.
  2. Position your feet out from the corner about 18 to 24 inches.
  3. Lean forward into the corner slowly, keeping your arms straight.
  4. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, feeling the stretch across your chest.
  5. Return to starting position and relax. Complete prescribed repetitions.

Remember: Move slowly and lean gently into the corner. Feel the stretch across the entire chest. Maintain arm position.

Safety & Precautions

Important: Avoid if acute chest or shoulder injury. Do not force beyond comfortable range.

Additional Safety Notes: Do not force the lean. Stop if you experience pain. Keep the stretch comfortable.

Exercise Modifications

Make it Harder (Progressions)

Increase hold time to 45 seconds. Increase lean intensity gradually.

Make it Easier (Regressions)

Reduce hold time to 10 seconds. Decrease lean intensity.
