How to Perform

  1. With assistance, place two pool noodles under buttocks for enhanced flotation support.
  2. Allow feet to rest lightly on pool bottom or lift gradually as comfortable.
  3. Extend arms out to sides just under water surface with palms facing down for maximum stability.
  4. Hold position as comfortably as possible for 5 seconds initially.
  5. Therapist or assistant stays within arm's reach for safety and reassurance.
