Fully Suspended Exercises
Exercises performed in deep water with no foot contact, using flotation equipment for support.
Benefits
- Provides maximum buoyancy and joint offloading
- Enables full range of motion without gravity constraints
- Highest level of core engagement for stabilization
- Ideal for rehabilitation or those with significant joint issues
- Creates a completely impact-free exercise environment
Exercise Guidelines
Fully suspended exercises are performed in deep water where your feet don't touch the bottom of the pool. These exercises typically use flotation equipment to maintain proper body position.
Recommended Parameters:
- Water Depth: Deep water where feet cannot touch the bottom
- Equipment: Flotation belt, or other buoyancy aids are desireable
- Duration: 30-60 seconds per exercise or 10-15 repetitions
- Sets: 1-3 sets per exercise depending on fitness level
- Intensity: Control intensity through speed of movement and range of motion
Safety Note:
Fully suspended exercises require comfort in deep water and proper use of flotation equipment. Always ensure your flotation belt or device is securely fastened before beginning. If you're new to deep water exercise, consider working with an instructor for your first sessions.
